The lovely people at C&IT magazine did a nice little piece on our two new recruits, Simon Spikin and Lucy Fitzpatrick and decided Lucy should be on their home page.  We agree! You can read the article here.

Simon Spikin is replacing Alex Simpson as Operations Director.  Simon joins from Peppermint Bars & Events where he has spent the last 5 years, following extensive experience in hospitality, catering and events management.  “Working for Wellpleased gives me the opportunity to work on entire events from start to finish; and hopefully I can bring some large-scale project experience to the team, ready for some of the exciting sporting event clients we’re announcing in the New Year” said Simon.

Lucy Fitzpatrick has joined as Event Manager following a successful industry placement and has already managed private client events for Wellpleased both in Leeds and London.  Lucy is currently completing a degree in Live Event Production with LS Live’s Backstage Academy in conjunction with Bolton University.

Sam Welply, owner of Wellpleased Events, said “Lucy brings technical stage production, AV and lighting knowledge which is often so rare in an Event Manager, and we’re excited to have her on the team.  Simon has a great record of successful project management which will ensure that all of our clients get a first rate service in what’s shaping up to be an exceptionally busy 2014”
